1894 was the unofficial birth year of Barbaresco when Nebbiolo grown in Barbaresco was first recognized to have its own characteristics. Founded in 1958, Produttori del Barbaresco has 50 members with about 110 hectares of vineyards planted to Nebbiolo and controls most of the historical “cru” in the area. The Produttori del Barbaresco only vinifies Nebbiolo grapes, producing a Barbaresco DOCG from grapes from different vineyards in the area of origin. Enoteca Thailand brings you 6 of the 9 Barbaresco produced from specific Barbaresco Riserva vineyards of Rabajà, Ovello, Montestefano, Muncagota, Montefico, and Pora – all displaying individual nuances of their respective terroirs. The name of the Cru and the owners of the vineyards themselves are shown on the numbered labels. A single grape variety, Nebbiolo, a single wine, Barbaresco: excellence in simplicity.
