Domaine Philippe and Yann Charlopin, located in Gevrey Chambertin, invites you to discover its Burgundy wines from the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, and Chablis. Created in 1977, the family business was taken over by Philippe Charlopin, and from one and a half hectares of vines, the Domaine has expanded and currently extends to 25 hectares spread over the Côte de Nuits, the Côte de Beaune, and Chablis.
A more elegant mix features notes of plum, violet, earth, and soft spice nuances. The finely detailed and vibrant middle-weight flavors possess a lilting mouthfeel before terminating in a mildly austere finish. La Justice is typically quite fine, but it’s even finer than usual thanks to the refined but dense tannins.
A markedly earthy nose grudgingly displays brooding aromas of deeply pitched dark berries, underbrush, and a hint of game. The exceptionally rich, suave, and powerful middle-weight plus flavors possess impressive mid-palate density along with a lovely salinity on the beautifully long finale.
