Chateau Saint Christophe

Chateau Saint Christophe

Château Saint Christophe is located in the heart of the Médoc peninsula in Saint-Christoly de Médoc. This town, 75 kilometers north of Bordeaux, is bordered by the Gironde Estuary, where the climate is particularly pleasant. Since 1755, generations of the same family have followed one another on this property, with the ancestors of Patrick Gillet choosing Saint Christophe as the name because, until 1770, it was the original name of the town, which was later renamed Saint-Christoly du Médoc.

Chateau Saint Christophe Medoc Cru Bourgeois

Vintage 2016

RED
● 60% Merlot
● 30% Cabernet Sauvignon
● 5% Cabernet Franc
● 5% Petit Verdot

The aroma is fruity, vibrant, and provides good strength. It has aromas of black currants, licorice sticks, and slightly ripe small red fruits, along with hints of Sichuan pepper, violets, graphite, and a very discreet vanilla/cardamom. On the palate, it is fresh, fruity, well-balanced, and juicy, with a soft, graceful, refined finesse.
